Sony Ericsson W435Sony Ericsson’s newest clamshell phone is definitely a looker. The W435 showcases a style-up panel, which features 12 LEDs on the front surface, that adopts to different lighting system and glows accordingly each time, according to MobileWhack. The W435 is available in 16 shades with different patterns and designs on the style-up panel.

The CDMA phone sports a 2.7 inch (240 x 432) 262K colour TFT display and features a 2 megapixel camera with nightmode, autofocus, digital zoom, plus the RealityMax, 42 MB of internal memory, a memory stick pro expansion slot, an MP3 player that supports various playbacks, as well as an ‘au’ port. Too bad this phone is only available in Japan via KDDI.

Cell Phone: Sharp’s W41SH Now Available to KDDI Users

Sharp’s W41SH is now available to Japan’s KDDI users and features a dual color display, with its internal display measuring 2.6″ QVGA LCD with 262,144 colors, and its external display measures 1.2″ and as MobileWhack writes, “is derived from the Aquos LCD TVs, which can show homepage, time, date, tune, name and as well as the caller name, ensuring the customers that they don’t have to flip the phone every now and then. Furthermore users can also make use of the side keys that are provided to send small messages and view the same with the sub-display.”

other features include a 2 megapixel camera, and MP3 player (users can purchase music from the LISMO store), and USB 2.0 compatibility. The clamshell CDMA phone comes in 4 different colors; precious white, noble black, red and pink.

One of Toshiba’s latest offerings to the Japanese market is its W47T clamshell phone which features a 2.6″ QVGA liquid crystal display, a 3.2 megapixel camera with nightmode, autofocus and zoom, a front speaker, stereo earphones equipped with Switch, an ‘au’ port, 100mb internal mory with memory stick pro duo slot for expansion, and a one-touch Viewphone key that brings you straight to the menu. The W47T is part of the 12-phone lineup that was just announced to the Japanese market.

Cell Phone: Sprint to Carry Samsung SPH-M610

SPH M610Initial specifications on this CDMA slim clamshell handset state that it will have two displays, an external 2 light Blue OLED, and an internal QVGA screen. It will carry a 2MP rotating camera, and will have expandable memory in the form of a TransFlash slot. It will also have Bluetooth 2.0+EDR with A2DP profile support. Price and release date still to be announced.

The FCC has just approved the credit card sized Samsung Z610. This UMTS phone does not appear to have a keypad, or at least available pictures and info doesn’t suggest that it has. Only three buttons are visible from the images available, which includes the middle “Play” button that purportedly activates the onboard music player. The music player supports MP3/WMA/AAC file formats. A 2 megapixel camera is also located in the back of the phone. Extra memory for all the high resolution pictures and audio files is available via micro SD card slot. More info to come when available.

Motorola Introduces Tattoos: RAZRs Live Life Anew

RAZR with TattoosAfter creating more RAZR fashion options with different color choices for the RAZR line (currently available in black, blue, pink and gold), Motorola now grants it with a new lease on life with Tattoos. Designed by Ami James, famous for Miami Ink, the tattoos will be laser etched into the cover of each phone. Motorola will convert James’ images into a digital format, and will etch them on to the high-grade aluminum bodies of users’ phones using computer-assisted design. The only design to be revealed so far is the Dragon design. The rest of the design collection is still being kept secret until next month. Motorola expects a worldwide launch for the tattoos but has yet to name which mobile companies will carry them.

Cellphones: Samsung SGH-D840

Samsung d840Samsung’s update to the D820 is thinner, has a better camera resolution(2MP), and also adds stereo Bluetooth while keeping the other features the same: a QVGA display, EDGE high-speed data, music player, memory card slot, and USB with mass storage mode. Currently, the Samsung d840 is not currently available from any major U.S. carrier.

Blackberry Pearl 8100The Blackberry Pearl’s full specs have been posted over at Pinstack’s forums. It will reportedly be thinner than the Razr, supports quad band GSM with EDGE, a 240×120 screen with 64Mb of internal memory to go with a microSD expansion slot.
